This oil painting was one of my earliest learning experiences. Painting PIERRE AUGUSTE RENOIR's A Picnic In the Park was truly enjoyable. I could envision myself in the picnic, celebrating with those around me and experiencing a culture of the past. The sailboat added a sense of freedom and seclusion, blending my desire to connect with others and find solitude to rejoice in. The impressionist style has remained my favorite.
