I completed this painting as part of my early oil painting experience. It was my interpretation of San Giorgio Maggiore At Dusk by Claude Monet. The scenery was beautiful, and the plays with the colors, light, and movement were mesmerizing. This painting was among the early influences for me becoming an Impressionism fan. The lack of definition was so unlike everything else I was learning. The freedom that such a style portrayed completely hooked me and inspired me to continue to enjoy and follow the style to this day.
